再见了，明信片

HP 说他将到欧洲去，先去音乐学校参加考试，然后再到其它城市游玩。两个星期前收到他的电邮，得知他到了荷兰。之后陆陆续续收到他称为“Travelogue” 的旅游记录的电邮。

在第六个 travelogue 后，AY 感慨地写道“I read your travelogues, and I’m wondering whatever happened to good old postcards… with tiny handwriting trying to tell all in the tiny space provided behind a beautiful picture plus pretty looking foreign looking stamps.”

HP 的回复确是意料中的：postcards are simply too small to contain my nonsensical, incoherent solo babble. and too slow. by the time you read it, i'll be in another city.

对，太慢了。随着科技的发达，我们已经习惯要马上得到第一时间的讯息，包括朋友的旅游记录心情。当互联网开始袭击我们时，我是唯一坚持写信给在加拿大读书的朋友，直到朋友说那太麻烦、太慢了，才妥协改用电邮。但我还是怀念写信，写明信片的日子。每当收到朋友的来信，看到朋友的手迹，总会开心几天，虽然是满了些。

我怀旧，不是因为我念旧，而是因为时代的步伐太快了，我跑得喘不过气来，我想放慢脚步，用自己认为最舒服的步伐来看这个世界。
